GET CLEARED, CHICAGO COLLABORATES WITH THE CITY OF CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF PROCUREMENT SERVICES
Advocates of the re-entry advocacy consortium, Get Cleared, Chicago, will hold a Q & A session with City of Chicago Chief Procurement Officer Shannon Andrews to announce the launch of a series of bid readiness sessions called G.R.O.W (Gaining Readiness Opportunities That Work), and urge certified minority/women/disadvantaged business enterprise firms to engage more in bidding on Target Market and Airport procurement opportunities and hire individuals with past records or convictions.

Get Cleared, Chicago Collaborates with City Clerk Anna Valencia To Provide “CityKey” I.D. Cards to the Formerly Incarcerated
Over 50 individuals, including 23 individuals preparing for “RapSheet Day” at the Chicago Police Department, received CityKey I.D. cards at the collaborative outreach event with 006th District CAPS, “CityKey Re Entry and Workforce Opportunity Day”. Collaborative partners included: North Lawndale Employment Network, lead agency partner, coordinated by Pauline Sylvain-Lewis; Teamwork Englewood (Mark Mitchell); The Black Star Project (Gloria Smith); the Center For Community Development Initiatives (Rev, Anibal Vega); and The Employment Resource Center of St. Sabina (Sharon Miles).
